70-year-old Hollywood star bruce willyBruce Willis announced his retirement from acting in 2022 after being diagnosed with aphasia, and the following year he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). His wife, Emma Heming Willis, recently revealed Bruce’s “funeral arrangements” and latest situation in a new book and interview, which has attracted widespread attention.
According to multiple media reports, Emma’s new book, “The Unexpected Journey,” chronicles her journey caring for her husband and family, hoping to provide support for caregivers. The book also reveals that Bruce’s family has made a significant decision: after his passing, his brain will be donated to research institutions for dementia-related studies.
Researchers point out that such donations help the scientific community identify disease-related brain changes, including abnormal proteins, gene mutations, and structural deformities, which are often difficult to observe while the patient is alive.
