The Scout’s FPL Gameweek 14 transfer radar

The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Gameweek 14 of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier League ahead of Tuesday’s 18:00 GMT deadline, to help managers gain an edge over their mini-league rivals.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.3m
The Chelsea star’s recent recovery from injury hands Fantasy managers an ideal heavy-hitter to consider for their midfields.
Palmer was an unused substitute in the Blues’ 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Sunday, which looks encouraging for his pitch time for matches against Leeds and AFC Bournemouth in Gameweeks 14-15.
Both those upcoming opponents have struggled defensively recently, conceding three or more goals in three of the last four Gameweeks.
Added to his set-piece and penalty duties, Palmer’s huge all-round potential for goals and assists can make a big impact in Fantasy over the busy upcoming spell.
Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle) £6.6m
The Newcastle United star has climbed to joint-third in the midfielder standings thanks to his all-round style of play.
Guimaraes has blanked just once over the last seven Gameweeks, producing two of his three goals this season and all four of his assists during that spell. He has also collected two points for his defensive contributions in two of the Magpies’ last three matches.
Notably, the Brazilian has proven far more productive when playing at St James’ Park recently. Indeed, Guimaraes has delivered a double-figure haul in each of his last three home outings, totalling 34 points in those encounters with Nottingham Forest, Fulham and Manchester City.
The busy upcoming period, which includes the first midweek round of matches in 2025/26 Fantasy, gives Guimaraes the chance to extend that prolific output.
Newcastle have back-to-back home matches over the next few days, hosting Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday evening and Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
Rayan Cherki (Man City) £6.4m
Man City’s summer signing extended his fine form by emerging from the bench to provide the assist for Phil Foden’s (£8.1m) winner against Leeds United at the weekend.
Cherki has now supplied all four of his assists for the season over the last four Gameweeks following his return from injury.
And the underlying data shows the Frenchman’s growing influence on Man City’s attack.
He has been involved in (scored or assisted) 62 per cent of his side’s goals when selected. By contrast, his fellow midfielders Jeremy Doku (£6.6m) and Foden have been involved in just 22 and 18 per cent respectively.
Crucially, Cherki has now been benched for each of Man City’s last two matches in all competitions, which indicates he has now had his rest ahead of upcoming contests against Fulham and Sunderland.
Similarly to Newcastle’s Guimaraes, the Man City star can be found in under five per cent of squads, marking him out as a great overlooked pick who can fire you up your mini-league.
Jurrien Timber (Arsenal) £6.4m
The Arsenal right-back’s form at Emirates Stadium suggests he is a very valid captaincy option at home to Brentford.
Timber has amassed 55 points over his six home appearances, combining two goals and three assists with four clean sheets.
By contrast, he has just 19 points across his six away matches, with two clean sheets and no attacking returns.
Timber’s displays at the Emirates mean he is the second top-scoring player in home matches in 2025/26 Fantasy, bettered only by the 63 points of Erling Haaland (£14.9m).
