Phillip and Sala Burton Academic School shooting: 1 student shot, in stable condition, official says

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — A student at Phillip and Sala Burton Academic School in San Francisco was shot in the leg, an official confirmed on Tuesday.
San Francisco Supervisor Jackie Fielder said in a statement to ABC7 News that the student is in stable condition.
The shooting happened around 12:40 p.m.
Supervisor Fielder said a suspect is now in custody. No further details were given on the arrest.
The school is located on the border of Visitacion Valley and the Portola District near Highway 101 and McLaren Park.
It’s unknown where exactly the student was shot and what led up to the incident.
