Report: Toronto Blue Jays finalizing three-year deal with RHP Cody Ponce

The Toronto Blue Jays are finalizing a three-year, $30 million agreement with right-hander Cody Ponce, according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Ponce, 31, spent last season with the Hanwha Eagles of the KBO, posting a 17-1 record with a 1.89 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 252 strikeouts in 180.2 innings, en route to winning the league’s MVP award.

Ponce last played in the Majors with the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2021, when he made 15 appearances and recorded a 7.04 ERA in 38.1 innings.
Originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft, Ponce has a career 5.86 to go along with 48 strikeouts in 55.1 major=league innings.
