Jimmy Butler will play tonight against Thunder

After suffering two hard falls the other night vs. the New Orleans Pelicans, Jimmy Butler — previously considered questionable to play against the league’s best team in the Oklahoma City Thunder — is available to play tonight.

Having Butler around will be some semblance of hope for the Warriors, who are already without Stephen Curry due to a quadriceps contusion. Per Databallr, in 307 minutes of Butler on the floor without Curry this season, the Warriors have outscored opponents by a respectable 7.1 points per possession. While that may provide a bit of hope against a Thunder team that has absolutely dominated everyone in their path so far this season, it may not be enough to scale the Everest-sized obstacle they are facing tonight, with the Thunder having the best defense in the league, the fourth-ranked offense in the league, and the best net rating in the league by a wide margin — not to mention, having reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at their disposal.
