Former Strictly Come Dancing star Stacey Dooley has divided fans with her ‘camp disco’ themed Christmas tree, as some say they love it and others fear for her daughter’s safety

Stacey Dooley has left fans divided over her unusual disco themed Christmas tree, as some love it, and others fear it is unsafe for a house with toddlers in it.
The former Strictly Come Dancing winner shares her home with dancer Kevin Clifton and their two-year-old daughter Minnie. Stacey took to Instagram to share what their tree looks like this year. In the video, a tall tree, covered in silver tinsel, glitterballs and spikey silver stars, could be seen.
Stacey explained in the caption that the theme was “camp disco” and nodded to Strictly, where she met Kevin in 2018. The pair had been partnered together and won the competition.

In the caption of her post, she wrote: “It’s giving.. Elstree. Guys, did I ever mention I did strictly 100 yrs ago? The theme was ‘camp disco’ and ofc @marymaryflorals delivered AGAIN. Isn’t it so Angel Delight energy? Made up! Ta so much girls!”
Some fans were equally happy with the tree. In the comments, one wrote: “It’s giving 90s but extra. I love it.” Another said: “It’s giving Diana Ross meets Wham on steroids and I’m here for it babe.” And a third added that the tree “belongs in Vogue”.
But, others were worried that the tree wasn’t safe. “Is it just me that is petrified of them spikes and defo wouldn’t have this in a house with toddlers,” one asked. Another questioned: “Is that a Christmas tree or a weapon of mass destruction?!” A third wondered if the tree was a “fire hazard”.

More fans shared that they thought the tree was just ugly. “Sorry but the tree is hideous,” one said. A second added that it was an “acquired taste”.
Stacey and Kevin will be celebrating Minnie’s third Christmas this year. Sadly, earlier this year, Stacey shared that she lost another baby, as she had suffered an ectopic pregnancy.
In September, an episode of her series Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over aired, in which the star emotionally broke down about the ordeal. “I have experienced what it is like to struggle to have a child,” she shared.
Talking to Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, she added: ““We obviously wanted to expand our family, and last year I fell pregnant and it didn’t go brilliantly. It was ectopic.” She continued: “I am so sorry because this is so predictable. I am sat here, crying on a bed. It was ectopic, and it was really f***ing difficult.”
