EV sales bounce back in November 2025, as Zeekr 7X leaps into top 3

EV sales in Australia rebounded from its October lows, with Tesla regaining top spot on the podium and the new Chinese-made Zeekr 7X leaping into the top 3 best selling electric cars for the month.

EV sales came in at 9,081 for the month of November, a 9.1% share of the total new car market in November, up from 7.3% in October.

The rise was boosted by a bounce back in Tesla ERV sales, which totalled more than 2,700 from the Model Y and the Model 3, while  BYD electric sales also remained strong with 1,926 sales from its five models during the month, including a strong performance from its newly released Atto 2.

The EV data comes from two major two suppliers, the FCAI (which shared 6,212 EVs from its members)– and those supplied by the Electric Vehicle Council – 2,869 sales – from Tesla and Polestar.
