Killeen ISD announces principal change at Ira Cross Elementary

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) – Killeen ISD Superintendent Dr. King Davis announced that Ira Cross Elementary Principal Stephanie Ford has stepped down from her role for personal reasons.

In an email to families, Davis said district leaders are working to identify the next principal and will share information once the selection process is complete. District leaders will be present on campus to support daily operations during the transition, according to the letter.

The district has named an interim leadership team to provide continuity. Tomas Sias will return to the campus along with Assistant Principal Jessica Askew. They will work with Dr. Keonna White, Executive Director of Schools, to provide day-to-day support.

“Their vast experience with Ira Cross and their commitment to students and staff make this a positive and stabilizing step for the campus,” Davis said in the statement.

Parents with questions during the transition can contact White at Keonna.White@killeenisd.org.

“Our commitment to the success of every student and staff member remains steadfast,” Davis said.
