Nebraska hosting another concert at Memorial Stadium

Country superstar Zach Bryan on Monday announced a series of stadium shows in the U.S. and Europe, one of which will be at Memorial Stadium.

Bryan, who has won numerous Country Music Awards as well as a Grammy, will play at the stadium on April 25. He will be joined by rock band Kings of Leon, and there will also be a solo performance by J.R. Carroll, who is Bryan’s keyboardist.

The Memorial Stadium concert is one of several at college football stadiums. Among the ones Bryan will play in are Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Rice-Eccles stadium in Salt Lake City, and Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Alabama.

The concert is the second one announced at the stadium for next year. Country-rock band Cross Canadian Ragweed and country act Turnpike Troubadours will bring their Boys From Oklahoma Tour to the stadium on Aug. 22. The Savannah Bananas baseball team also will play at Memorial Stadium on June 13.

Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen said earlier this year that he wants to use Husker athletic facilities for more non-athletic events like concerts.
