Aston Villa manager Unai Emery has selected his team to face Brighton in the Premier League this evening.

He has opted to make four changes to the side which beat Wolves 1-0 last Sunday.

Emi Martinez starts in goal behind a defence of Matty Cash, Ezri Konsa, Pau Torres and Ian Maatsen.

Boubacar Kamara and Amadou Onana operate in the double pivot, while John McGinn, Morgan Rogers and Evann Guessand support striker Ollie Watkins.

Lucas Digne, Youri Tielemans, Emi Buendia and Donyell Malen take their places on the bench.

Villa are targeting their sixth win in a row in all competitions tonight, and back-to-back away wins following their 2-1 victory at Leeds United 10 days ago.

Brighton have won just one of their last nine Premier League games against Villa, a 1-0 home win in May 2024.

Villa, meanwhile, have won three of their last four away league games against Brighton, as many as they had in their first 11 visits to the Seagulls.

Villa starting XI: Martinez, Cash, Konsa, Torres, Maatsen, Kamara, Onana, McGinn, Rogers, Guessand, Watkins.

Subs: Bizot, Lindelof, Digne, Garcia, Bogarde, Tielemans, Buendia, Malen, Sancho.

Brighton starting XI: Verbruggen, Wieffer, Dunk, Van Hecke, De Cuyper, Gruda, Baleba, Gomez, Minteh, Tzimas, Kadioglu.

Subs: Steele, Hinshelwood, Welbeck, Kostoulas, Boscagli, Veltman, Coppola, Knight, Oriola.
