As we begin to close out 2025, it’s time to reflect on the different things that have happened this year. Reflection is a key component of growth, and it helps us change different habits or improve ourselves over time. Here is a list of 5 questions to help you reflect on 2025 and help guide you through 2026!
1.What did I accomplish this year and What am I proud of
Think about the different accomplishments you had throughout the year. How did it make you feel and how did it encourage you? Accomplishments really do help you realize that you are truly doing better than you think you are. Recognizing your accomplishments also helps you build on your confidence and helps you do and accomplish more.
2.What Challenges Did I Face and What did they Teach me
Reflecting on different challenges we faced and what they taught us is another key component of growth. Realizing mistakes you made out the year and finding ways to improve yourself or not having those issues again really does set you up for success. These challenges could be academic, personal, or even social challenges. It’s important that you break the cycle and change what these challenges have taught you.
3.Are My Current Habits Helping Me Become a Better Person
Think about your current habits and routines and how they may be affecting you, good or bad. Take note of the good habits and find solutions to improve the bad ones or get rid of the bad ones if you have no solution for them. Remember, the habits you make can actually have long term effects on you so it’s important to seek them out. Different habits can include when to study, how your sleep schedule looks, how much money you may spend and etc.
4.Who Are the People I want to Bring Around in the New Year
YOUR CIRCLE MATTERS. You may not realize it but who you surround yourself with truly does matter. Think about each person in your life and ask yourself “what benefits do they have on me?” “do they always encourage me to be my very best?” If you answer yes to those questions then it’s important to keep those people around. If you have people in your circle who you have to think twice about or they make you think about how life would be more peaceful if they weren’t in your circle it’s time to leave those people in 2025!
5.What Do I Want Next Year to Look like
Goal setting for the new year helps you be reminded of your goals and how you want to accomplish them. It could be getting As on all of your classes, prepping to join a certain academic honor society, or getting that dream internship you want. It’s also important to prep your mindset to help you be aware of how important it is to accomplish these goals.
Conclusion
In conclusion, making your next year a better, more productive and enjoyable year starts with reflection of the current year. It’s important to realize you deserve better and you can accomplish more than you think into the next year. Don’t give up on yourself or your goals and know everything will happen in your favor.
