One of Michael Jordan’s most beloved original Air Jordan sneakers is reportedly returning with original details in 2026.
The Air Jordan 4 Retro “Bred” (also known as “Black Cement”) is set for a holiday ’26 reissue, according to @zsneakerheadz, Sneaker Files and Sneaker Market Romania. The classic sneaker is expected to feature original details including Nike Air branding and a refined shape that closely resembles the original 1989 iteration.
One of four original Air Jordan 4 colorways, the Chicago Bulls-themed Black/Cement Grey/Summit White/Fire Red has been one of the most coveted styles for the equally popular model. Despite being reissued more than any other Air Jordan 4 colorway, the Bred — short for Black/Red — pair remains a fan-favorite look nearly 36 years after its debut. Rereleases for the style have occurred in 1999, 2008, 2012 and most recently, in 2019. The black-and-red makeup was also treated to a Reimagined release in 2024, which used a leather upper instead of the sneaker’s traditional nubuck build.

Despite its decades of availability, the Air Jordan 4 remains a hot seller at both retail and on the secondary resale market. On Tuesday, StockX named the model as a top seller of the year and stated that the sneaker’s November Black Cat reissue broke records on the resale platform.
Before the year comes to a close, yet another Air Jordan 4 will arrive at retail in the form of a Dark Mocha collaboration with The Whitaker Group’s A Ma Maniére.
As for the upcoming Air Jordan 4 Retro Bred reissue, readers can expect it to be released during winter ’26 for $220 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers globally. According to Sneaker Market Romania, the pair will be available in full family sizing and the style code for men is FV5029-001. The colorway will also come in grade school (IB4171-001), preschool (IB4388-001) and toddler (IB4387-001) sizes.
