Missouri State football to play Arkansas State in inaugural Xbox Bowl

Missouri State football’s first bowl game in the FBS has now been confirmed. The Bears will take on the Arkansas State Red Wolves in the inaugural Xbox Bowl.
The Xbox Bowl serves as a replacement for the Bahamas Bowl, which was indefinitely postponed following the 2024 season’s edition, with most outlets listing the replacement as to be announced. On3’s Brett McMurphy reported Thursday morning that Missouri State and Arkansas State were set to play in a bowl game in Frisco, Texas, at the Ford Center at the Star. On Thursday afternoon, both schools and ESPN confirmed McMurphy’s report and made their own announcements.
The remainder of bowl season will be announced on Sunday. Kickoff for the Xbox Bowl is scheduled for Thursday, December 18 at 8 p.m. CT. It will be televised on ESPN2.
