Dream man? Alexander Skarsgård is a dream girl

We mean this in the best possible way: Alexander Skarsgård loves to let his freak flag fly. This past year, the Swedish actor has been one of the most fun—and most wildly unexpected—red carpet dressers to watch in Hollywood. The star has been working with stylist Harry Lambert to craft fashion moments that are provocative, whimsical, and, frankly, hot.
He’s more than willing to take risks and stray from the unconventional suits and tuxedos. Just take his latest off-duty outfit, while out and about in New York City last night; it even came with a campy hoodie.
Think Skarsgård is your dream man? Try dream girl: The actor wore a $95 “Dream Girl” hoodie by Ladycotton in electric blue cotton, finished with bright yellow lettering to grab the eye. The cheeky sweatshirt is an obvious play on his current heartthrob status—a reversing of gender roles, if you will.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Skarsgård has embraced a head-turning graphic logo. Just last month, while appearing on the Graham Norton Show, he sported a tight black tee by British artist Joe Sweeney that read, “HOT BUFFET: ‘Available All Day.’ Eat as much as you like.” (Is Skarsgård on the menu? One extra serving, please.) Earlier this year, at the Zurich Film Festival, he also donned a white silk shirt with a grey graphic of dildos and butt plugs from the label Magliano—a nod back to the sexy queer film, Pillion, that he was promoting at the time.
You could say, then, that when it comes to a cheeky logo tee or hoodie, it’s never just a garment for Skarsgård—it’s an opportunity to make a statement and unveil the inner workings of his creative (and freaky) mind. Men of Hollywood, take notes: This is how you do hot A-list man style.
