Emmerdale leaves two lives on the line as Celia makes her next move

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale has seen Celia Daniels issue a double threat as two lives are hanging in the balance. Tonight’s episode kicked off with a big realisation for Dylan Penders. At the farm, Dylan spoke with Bear Wolf, recognising him from the pictures Paddy Dingle had at his house.

“Yeah, Paddy Dingle’s your son, right?” Dylan asked Bear, putting two and two together. “Your family miss you.”

“My family is here,” Bear replied, confirming his loyalty to Celia and Ray Walters.

Later on, Celia offered to drive Dylan back to the village to get his phone, which he was supposed to hand over to her.

“This promotion means more responsibility,” Celia reminded the teen, who pointed out it was his birthday and Paddy had organised a brunch for him. When Dylan protested that his girlfriend, April Windsor, would be at the bistro too, Celia replied she wouldn’t be for long.

“We have plans for her too. Big ones. Life-changing,” she said, slyly. “April deserves to be rewarded for her hard work.”

Back at Paddy’s, Dylan managed to speak to Marlon away from Celia’s prying eyes and warned him. “You need to get April to the police,” Dylan said. “Marlon, she’s in danger.”

After a confused Marlon hurried to find April, Celia caught up with Dylan, who pretended everything was fine and gave her his phone. Celia, however, noticed a picture of Paddy with his dad, realising that Dylan must’ve kept quiet about Bear’s real identity.

In the last scenes, Celia summoned Ray to the farm, where she informed him of his faux pas in recruiting Bear.

“First rule of recruitment, no locals!” an angered Celia shouted, berating Ray for not checking on Bear’s background before taking him in.

“He wasn’t local when I found him,” Ray replied, but Celia insisted his mistake could bring down their entire operation.

“Ted is your mess to clean up,” she told her son, adding that Dylan knew about Bear.

“He’s not stupid. He’ll keep his trap shut,” Ray said, but Celia’s mind was made up.

“You will take care of Dylan,” she said ominously. “And then, you will take care of Ted.”

Meanwhile, Marlon acted on Dylan’s words and intercepted April as she was preparing to leave the village as per Ray’s instructions.

“What trouble are you in?” Marlon asked his daughter.

“I don’t know why Dylan would say that. You must’ve got it wrong,” April deflected, but caved when Marlon made it clear he wouldn’t let it go.

The teen broke down, admitting she’d been dealing drugs. April told Marlon and Rhona about the “huge debt” she and Dylan had and how they weren’t allowed to stop.

“Who threatened you? Who’s making you do all this?” a terrified Marlon asked.

“Ray… If I stop, he’ll hurt all of you. And he means it,” April finally replied, as her dad learned that she worked for the same Ray who was dating Laurel Thomas.

As Marlon and Rhona were ready to head to the police station, April begged them to stay put. “We can’t go to the police because I killed a man,” she said, referring to Celia’s client Callum, who tried to assault her. Unbeknown to her, however, Callum survived, with Ray and Celia using April’s attack as leverage against her.
