With less than 20 Days to go before Morocco kicks off the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Morocco 2025, attention turns to the world-class stadiums that will host Africa’s premier football competition.
Spread across five beautiful Moroccan cities, each venue brings its own identity, history, and modern architecture to the tournament.
CAFOnline takes a look at all the venues set to stage the competition between 21 December 2025 – 18 January 2026.
COMPLEXE SPORTIF PRINCE MOULAY ABDELLAH
Capacity: 69,500
City: Rabat
Only seven kilometres from the centre of Rabat, the Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah is one of the Kingdom’s most iconic venues. Inaugurated on 5 September 2025 during FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, it seats 68,095 (expandable to 68,700 for the FIFA World Cup 2030). It is the second-largest stadium in Morocco, behind the Grand Stade de Tanger.
Renovated in 2000, 2014, and 2023, the stadium now meets the highest international standards. Its athletics track has been removed, creating a football-only arena with modern media zones. Regular home of Morocco’s national team, it has hosted AFCON 1988, the FIFA Club World Cups of 2014 and 2022, the 2019 African Games, and the 2022 TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

TADE ANNEXE OLYMPIQUE COMPLEXE SPORTIF PRINCE MOULAY ABDELLAH

Part of the Stade Annexe Olympique Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah was completed in just nine months and inaugurated on 25 May 2025 during the Mohammed VI International Meeting.
The venue has a World Athletics-certified 400m track, a natural-grass pitch, crescent-shaped roof, and advanced lighting. Facilities include underground parking, cryotherapy rooms, lounges, and TV studio

COMPLEXE SPORTIF PRINCE HERTITIER MOULAY EL HASSAN

Built on the historic site of FUS Rabat, this urban stadium offers 22,000 seats without an athletics track, bringing fans closer to the action. Its glazed terracotta façade, inspired by Berber motifs, promotes natural ventilation and reflects daylight.
Spread across five levels, it houses VIP boxes, lounges, media zones, and command centres, with access points to optimise crowd movement.

Located in the Agdal district, Stade El Barid serves as home to Union Touarga SC. It has a natural grass pitch, VVIP and VIP areas, media stands, and landscaped forecourts with shops and dining. Minimalist in style, its sunken pitch ensures excellent sightlines for fans from all angles.

Located in Casablanca’s Maârif district, the STADE Mohammed V is one of Africa’s great football monuments. Opened on March 6, 1955, and fondly nicknamed “Donor,” it has staged Morocco’s greatest moments and hosted many of the continent’s top competitions.
With a capacity of 67,000, it will welcome eight matches at the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2025.

The Complex Sportif de Fes is a premier football stadium located on the road linking Fès to Sefrou. With a capacity of 45,000, it blends the charm of traditional Moroccan architecture with modern facilities, offering world-class amenities and a vibrant atmosphere for both national and international matches.
Planning began in 1992, with construction starting in 1994, with the stadium completed in 2003.

Located 11km north of the city centre, Grand Stade de Marrakech is one of Morocco’s premier sports complexes.
With a capacity of 45,240 seats, it combines modern design with versatility, offering world- class facilities for both football and athletics, while delivering a vibrant atmosphere for national and international competitions.
The complex also features a 5,000-seat auxiliary stadium with an athletics track, a 1,000 m2 media centre, medical and first aid facilities.
