According to The Mail, United have ramped up their interest by sending scouts to watch the Greece international in action.

This comes after the Olympiacos academy graduate won Tuttosport’s esteemed Golden Boy Web award, which honours the best Under-21 players competing in Europe, after earning over 1million votes from fans across the world.

The Greek star defeated the likes of Real’s Arda Guller, Dortmund’s Jobe Bellingham and last year’s winner Kenan Yildiz of Juventus for the honour.

The teenage sensation made history in 2024 when he led Olympiacos’ Under-19s to the Uefa Youth League title, which is equivalent to the Champions League for the youth ranks.

This marked the first ever European title won by a Greek club before the seniors conquered the Europa Conference League a few months later.

That led to an immediate first-team promotion under manager Jose Luis Mendilibar as well as a total of two goals and six assists in 52 appearances.

Mouzakitis has registered two assists in 16 appearances across all competitions this season.
