Emmerdale fans think Celia and Ray will face a showdown after recent horror scenes aired.
Actress Jaye Griffiths may have only made her Emmerdale debut this June, but her role as Celia Daniels is sure to leave a lasting mark on the village. Her adopted son Ray has been doing most of her dirty work for her, as he groomed Dylan and April into doing drug runs for his “boss” AKA Celia.
Not only that, but in a cruel twist it was revealed that Celia was running a modern slavery empire, with the slaves being worked to the bone on her farm. One person caught up in all of this is Bear Wolf, and he was seen digging a grave for his fellow worker Anya who died from an infection.
Living in squalor, the slaves have no chance of escape after Ray removed their phones and passports, with him telling Bear that none of his family members are looking for him. Recently, Dylan learned that Bear was working for them and worried about April he headed to Marlon and told him to call the police.
April eventually told her parents everything in a tearful confession. However, just as Marlon threatened to go to the police Celia arrived at their door. On Thursday (December 4), Ray went to confront Dylan over his Bear discovery, but as Dylan told Ray that he was also being exploited by Celia, he lost it.

Back at April’s, Celia showed them a video call with Ray where it showed him hitting Dylan with his car following the ordeal before injecting him with a drug hoping to silence him forever.
After Rhona snapped at her, Celia grabbed her by the face until she started to bleed. With her threatening that “throats will get slit”, viewers have been trying to work out how her reign of terror will come to an end.
Now, some think a showdown between her and Ray could happen. On a Reddit thread, u/attheendofmytrope wrote: “Ray is allegedly on a longer contract, and is supposed to become a permanent fixture in the village. They need to do something massively heroic to redeem him. I’m thinking he takes a bullet for April or Bear or something then turns on Celia.”
u/remarkable_gap_2746 added@ “I think it will be a Ray/Celia showdown and he’ll turn her in but also he will sacrifice himself to save April/Dylans lives. They’ve put emphasis on Ray being groomed himself for there not to be some kind of showdown but also Ray needs to be punished for what he’s done”
u/puzzled-antelope614 penned: “It’s clear they’re giving Ray an opportunity for redemption, which I’m not against. Despite the things he’s done, it’s very important to point out that Ray’s also a victim. I do hope he has the opportunity to turn his life around, because they’re giving him ties to the village”.
