South Carolina women’s basketball falls slightly in latest AP Poll

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – The South Carolina women’s basketball team fell slightly in the latest AP Top 25 Poll.
The latest rankings, released Monday, have the Gamecocks at No. 3 behind now-No. 2 Texas. UConn remains at No. 1 in the poll.
The Longhorns handed South Carolina their first loss of the season on Thanksgiving, 66-64, as part of the Players’ Era Championship in Las Vegas.
The Gamecocks (7-1) return to the hardwood on Thursday, where they will travel to No. 22 Louisville for the SEC-ACC Challenge.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m., and the game will be televised on ESPN.
