Sixers injury news: Status change for Joel Embiid, others vs. Warriors

The Philadelphia 76ers will take on the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night to kick off the first night of a back-to-back before traveling to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks on Friday. When it comes to back-to-backs, the statuses of the likes of Joel Embiid and Paul George always come into question.

When the injury report came out on Wednesday evening, Embiid was listed as doubtful due to both left and right knee injury recovery. He has since been upgraded to questionable against the Warriors.

As for George, he was listed as questionable due to left knee injury recovery, but he has since been downgraded to out for this contest.

Quentin Grimes was listed as questionable due to right calf tightness, but he has now been upgraded to available against the Warriors.

The Sixers and the Warriors will tip off at 7 p.m. EST from the Xfinity Mobile Arena. They will see some old friends in Jimmy Butler III, De’Anthony Melton, Seth Curry, and Al Horford on Golden State’s side of things.
