GloRilla Revealed That Brandon Ingram Made the First Move

GloRilla is giving fans a lil’ peek behind the curtain.
In a sit down with Complex, the Memphis rapper (styled in a sparkly Michael Jackson-inspired ‘fit complete with the white gloves) addressed months of dating rumors about Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram, confirmed a reconciliation with Young Thug following a private apology, reflected on the momentum of her music, and shared what it was like to party with Beyoncé.
GloRilla kept it short and sweet when asked about how her courtside romance with Ingram started. She said they met on Thanksgiving 2024, and apparently, Ingram made the first move. “But that’s it, that’s all I’ma say,” she said, protecting the bond. “I’m not gonna speak too much about our relationship because I kind of like our privacy… We don’t really be too much in the public,” she told Complex.
Fans have noticed Glo’s courtside glow. There was even a recent lyric switch that even fellow rapping baddie Sexxy Red noticed that was very intentional. “Mhm, yup. I said what I said, too,” GloRilla joked about flipping a line in “TGIF,” a wink that many took as a playful nod to Ingram.
“I’m a big fan of basketball,” GloRilla giggled about her being seen courtside fairly frequently.
The candid interview also put the drama with Young Thug to rest after a leaked call drew headlines. GloRilla said that they are good now. When asked if they’d spoken since his apology, she replied simply, “We cool.”
Glo also dropped hints about new music and leaned into her awards-season clout. The “All Dere” rapper is the lone woman in the Best Rap Album conversation this year. GloRilla is obviously the one to watch, and even though she’s solid in this fickle music industry, she still deals with nerves when it comes time to perform, especially at award shows like the Grammys. “I think it’s cause other celebrities be there and…it be on TV. But I be nervous.”
Those same nerves come out every time she encounters superstar diva Beyoncé, but who can blame her? Glo detailed seeing Bey at an all-white party, and Bey tapped her and invited GloRilla into her section, where Glo awkwardly stood there until Beyoncé told her to sit down with her. “Every time I see her, tears come down my face. And so I’m just sitting right there. I’m just nervous. And I just started telling her how much I love her. And then like on the picture we took together, you could tell I had cried because my eyeliner kind of came down. I said, ‘Uh uh. Beyonce, girl, stop!’” Glo laughed.
Even though GloRilla admitted she was trolling when she said she’s coming out with an R&B album, fans wouldn’t be mad at a Beyoncé x GloRilla track or two.
