The Detroit Lions have changed things up in their backfield with Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery in 2025.

So, it comes as no surprise that Montgomery is off to a quiet start in the Week 14 game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Yes, Montgomery is active and healthy, but per usual he did not see the field on the Lions’ opening series of the game.
Montgomery will likely make his Week 14 debut on Detroit’s second or third series, so it won’t be long before we see him. However, don’t expect more than about 12 touches, as Montgomery has averaged 11.9 this season.
