I’m a Celebrity fans have screentime complaint after latest elimination: “It’s a shame”

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! spoilers follow.

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has confirmed the sixth campmate to leave the jungle, with Martin Kemp making it to the halfway stage in terms of eliminations before exiting the season.

Thursday’s (4 December) instalment of the ITV reality series saw the group participate in some smaller challenges following Ruby Wax’s elimination, with hosts Ant and Dec later informing the Spandau Ballet member that he was next to leave.

“I have dreamt about this moment,” said Martin as he returned to the studio, before he reflected on his favourite moments: “[I loved] sitting around talking. I’m not one for making new friends. It’s the first time I’ve done it for years and I loved it.”

“Coming out now, I feel like I’ve done it and experienced it all. I’ve come out with some brilliant anecdotes. My glass is half full. It’s what I wanted to spread. I wasn’t one of those guys who was dancing and singing… but I thought I’ll bring some nice energy.”

While Martin will now return to home comforts, several viewers expressed some regret regarding his elimination, with several feeling that the musician wasn’t afforded enough screentime during his stint in the jungle.

“It’s a shame about the lack of screentime and trials. He was fun in trials and seems like a very nice person,” wrote one fan on X, with another viewer commenting: “The fact he finally got decent screentime and he gets booted out same episode.”

“I wish he got much more screentime in each episode But he was lovely to watch,” added another fan as they echoed this sentiment, with a fourth noting: “Hardly got screentime so surprised he lasted as long as he did.”

The musician becomes the sixth celebrity to be eliminated from the 2025 season following Ruby, Kelly Brook, Vogue Williams, Eddie Kadi and Alex Scott. There’ll be some more tomorrow too, with Ant and Dec confirming there would be a double exit.

I’m a Celebrity… airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
