Out of 1,355 players registered for the IPL 2026 auction, five have told the BCCI that they will be available only for part of the season.

Australia’s Ashton Agar (65 per cent availability) and William Sutherland (80 per cent), New Zealand’s Adam Milne (95 per cent), and South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw (20 per cent) have shared how much they expect to play.

The fifth player is Australia’s Josh Inglis, a 30-year-old wicketkeeper-batter currently playing in the Ashes at the Gabba. He told the BCCI that he can play only 25 per cent of IPL 2026, which means a maximum of four matches. His base price for the auction is Rs 2 crore.

Inglis had a decent season for Punjab Kings last year, scoring 278 runs in 11 matches. He impressed in the final league game with 73 off 42 balls against Mumbai Indians, helping Punjab finish in the top two. In Qualifier 2, he scored 20 runs in one over off Jasprit Bumrah, helping Punjab reach the final.

Punjab Kings had considered keeping Inglis under coach Ricky Ponting but eventually released him on the last day of the retention deadline (November 15) because his IPL schedule could clash with his wedding. If picked in the auction, he would be available for only a couple of weeks.

Like Inglis, Agar’s base price is Rs 2 crore, but he has never played in the IPL. Sutherland also has never played in the IPL, with a base price of Rs 1 crore. Milne, 33, has played in past IPL seasons but not in the last three, and his base price is Rs 2 crore.

Rossouw, 36, has played only 22 IPL matches across four seasons since his debut in 2014. Since he is available for just three or four matches, it is unlikely he will be picked.

The IPL 2026 auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16.
