Strikers make one change to 13-player squad for must-win match vs Hurricanes

The Adelaide Strikers have named their 13-player squad to face the Hobart Hurricanes in their final WBBL home game of the regular season.
Seamer Emmerson Filsell joins the setup as a local replacement player for Megan Schutt. Filsell earned her first state contract last summer with South Australia.
Luke Williams’ side defeated the Brisbane Heat last weekend to extend their unbeaten streak to three games. Captain Tahlia McGrath led from the front with the ball, taking 3-27, before Tammy Beaumont (64) and Laura Wolvaardt (49) added 99 for their opening partnership. The skipper found back-to-back boundaries in the final over to seal victory for her side and keep the possibility of a playoff spot alive.
This result leaves the Strikers sitting in fifth, with three wins, three losses and two no-results.
Laura Wolvaardt drops out of the squad as she returns to South Africa to captain her country in a series against Ireland. She will be unavailable for the rest of the competition.
Squad of 13: Jemma Barsby, Tammy Beaumont, Darcie Brown, Sophie Ecclestone, Emmerson Filsell, Ellie Johnston, Eleanor Larosa, Tahlia McGrath, Anesu Mushangwe, Bridget Patterson, Maddie Penna, Tabatha Saville, Amanda-Jade Wellington.
