Midstate schools close, issue delays for Friday amid forecasted wintry mix

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Some school systems in the Midstate are making changes as the cold weather settles in late in the week.

A First Alert Weather Day was issued for a wintry mix moving in Thursday evening into Friday morning.

  • Clay County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Dickson County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Fentress County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Greater Things Christian School – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Hickman County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Houston County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Humphreys County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Jackson County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Lancaster Christian Academy – Opening Late Friday 8 a.m.
  • Macon Christian Academy – Closed Friday, No daycare
  • Macon County Schools – Closed Friday
  • Pickett County Schools – Closed Friday
  • Putnam County Schools – Closed Friday
  • Stewart County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
  • Trousdale County Schools – Opening 2 hours late Friday
