School Buses Cancelled Due to Inclement Weather

Nipissing-Parry Sound Student Transportation Services made an announcement today regarding the cancellation of all school buses due to severe weather conditions. A yellow-level snow squall watch is currently in effect, prompting this precautionary measure.

The cancellation affects several corridors, including:

– Britt and Nobel
– Mactier, Humphrey, Rosseau
– McDougall/Whitestone
– East Parry Sound North, which includes areas north of and including Highway 522
– Port Loring/Restoule
– Nipissing/Commanda
– Powassan/Trout Creek
– East Parry Sound South, which includes areas south of Highway 522
– South River/Sundridge
– Burk’s Falls/Magnetawan
– Katrine/Emsdale/Kearney/Sprucedale/Novar
– The Town of Parry Sound
– Redbridge/Thorne
– Trout Lake/Four Mile Lake Rd
– Callander, Bonfield, East Ferris
– West Nipissing Ouest
– North Bay
– Highway 11 North
– Mattawa

Despite the bus cancellations, all schools in the region will remain open for students who are able to attend safely. Parents are cautioned that afternoon bus routes will not be operating, and any students who arrive at school through alternative means must be picked up at the end of the day.
