Alycia Parks is set to meet Tamara Korpatsch in the quarterfinals of the Open In Arte Angers Loire 2025 on Friday, December 5.
The American is the top-seeded player in the WTA 125-level tournament in Angers, France. Parks defeated Gabriela Andrea Knutson in the Round of 32 match in straight sets and then registered a hard-fought 7-6 (3), 5-7, 6-3 win over Oceane Dodin in the last round to make it to the final eight. Parks suffered a first-round exit in Austin, another WTA 125 event, last month, and will look to prepare for the 2026 season with a title win in Angers.
Tamara Korpatsch, on the other hand, defeated Fiona Ferro in the Round of 16 match in straight sets. Korpatsch registered an easy win against Anna Siskova in the first round and is yet to drop a set in this event. The World No. 138 has had a decent 2025 season on the WTA tour with a 45-27 win-loss record, but struggled against the comparatively higher-ranked players.

Parks is the defending champion at the Angers WTA 125 and is ranked World No. 71 in the women’s singles. The 24-year-old has had a poor 2025 season with a 19-30 win-loss record on the WTA tour. She hasn’t reached a final of the WTA tour or a challenger-level tournament since her triumph in Angers last year.
Notably, Parks defeated Korpatsch in the Round of 16 match of the same event last season and is the favorite to repeat it on Friday. Despite her struggles on the WTA tour, the former World No. 40 boasts superior skills at the challenger-level events and has a good record on the hard courts.
