Mr Reed-Stephenson urged prospective customers to “come and give us a go”.

“We’re just good quality seafood, nicely presented and have great waitresses and waiters. We’re a seafood restaurant that sells great fish and chips”, he added.

A small haddock and chips in the restaurant costs £14.99, while a portion of cod and chips costs £18.99.

Customers can also enjoy Whitby lobster, Lindesfarne oysters, mussels, fish pie and a wagyu beef burger. 

For vegetarians, a halloumi burger and vegetable stir fry are on offer.
