Miranda Kerr’s surprising career move

Miranda Kerr ditched the runway this week to try her hand at a surprising new career as she stepped in front of the camera to present the weather.

The Australian model was all smiles as she got the chance to live out her dream of being a weather girl.

“Miranda Kerr, from Down Under. Aussie, Aussie, Aussie in the house!” exclaimed the model as she took over from the regular presenter.

It was then revealed that Kerr has “always dreamt” of being able to present the weather, so the show decided to help that dream become a reality.

“Yes, I have! Thank you for making my dream come true,” she gushed.

It comes after Kerr recently boldly fielded questions about her ex-husband Orlando Bloom’s recent split from Katy Perry.

The star, who was previously married to the UK actor from 2010 until 2013, appeared on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, where she dished unexpected details on the A-list couple’s headline-making separation.

Kerr, who shares 14-year-old son Flynn with Bloom, said she was with Perry and Bloom at the weekend, claiming the former couple were happily co-parenting their daughter Daisy Bloom as they all gathered to celebrate her fifth birthday.

“I love them both. I actually just saw them both. I was with them on the weekend,” Kerr began.

“It was very sweet because we were celebrating Daisy’s birthday. And then, Katy and I were talking to Orlando. And then they were like, ‘Oh, let’s get a photo.’ And it was kind of funny. Katy sent me the photo of Orlando and then his two exes on the side, but we all had such a big smile on our faces.

“You know, we’re one big, happy family, as always. It’s amazing, I love her. And him, obviously.”

Co-host Kyle Sandilands then asked if the break-up was “mutual”, to which Kerr responded, “Yeah.”

Kerr went on to say how important it was to have a respectful relationship with ex-partners, particularly when you share a child.

“I mean, honestly, when you especially when you have children, it shouldn’t be any other way,” she said.

“Like, the needs of the child always has to come first. And it needs to be harmonious. And you know what? They’re going to be in your life for the rest of your life. Because they have a child together, so you just be peaceful, I mean, in my opinion.”
