The NBA’s biggest rivalry gets another chapter added to it on Friday, Dec. 5 when the Boston Celtics host the Los Angeles Lakers at TD Garden in Boston.

This NBA game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on Prime Video. Fans looking to watch this game can do so on Prime Video, which offers a free trial and access to exclusive NBA games as well as plenty of other content, including WNBA and Thursday Night Football NFL games, tons of documentaries across sports and a plethora of tv shows and movies.

Both teams are coming into this meeting after playing the first half of a back-to-back on Thursday and earning victories. However, the Celtics are adding a Finals MVP to the lineup after Jaylen Brown missed his first game of the season on Thursday, while the Lakers are losing one with LeBron James missing Friday’s game due to sciatica and a foot injury. Additionally, former Celtic Marcus Smart is also missing what would have been his first game against former team as a member of their longtime rival.

While Boston was picking up a 146-101 blowout win over the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles was in Toronto for the first of a three-game road trip and first in a stretch of six road games over the next seven, playing a game that went down to the final shot. Austin Reaves went for 44 points to lead all scorers with Luka Doncic out while LeBron James lost his streak of 1,297 consecutive games with at least 10 points, but provided the game-winning assist, his game-high 11th of the night, finding Rui Hachimura for a corner 3 to win the game 123-120. The win moved the Lakers to 16-5 on the season and 9-2 away from home.

The Celtics are 13-9 after Derrick White dropped 30 with nine assists and seven rebounds on the road Thursday. Jordan Walsh continued to shine in the starting lineup, providing 22 points, seven rebounds, two steals and a block while Payton Pritchard had 20, eight assists and six boards, five of which were offensive. Neemias Queta added 17 points and four blocks and a steal while the bench trio of Anfernee Simons, Hugo Gonzalez and Josh Minott combined for 41, with the entire bench chipping in eight of the team’s 14 steals on the night.
