Man vs Baby serves as a sequel to Rowan Atkinson’s uproarious Man vs Bee on Netflix, penned by Atkinson himself and William Davies. The Blackadder star returns as Trevor Bingley, in the series, which forms part of the festive TV roster, this time taking on the seemingly tranquil role of a school caretaker.
However, the job turns out to be far more demanding than he initially anticipated. After the pandemonium of Man vs Bee, Trevor finds himself in the midst of another potential calamity when a real baby, playing Baby Jesus, is accidentally left behind at the school nativity.
Fans have already been given a tantalising glimpse of what’s to come. Trevor ends up with an unexpected companion over the Christmas holidays as he takes responsibility for the abandoned infant.
Fans of the Mr Bean actor were thrilled when the new series was announced back in December 2024. Netflix has included the series in its 2025 Christmas line-up, and fans got their first look in October 2025. Here’s everything you need to know about the new series.

When is Man vs Baby out?
The series is set to fully premiere on December 11 on Netflix. New titles are typically released at midnight in the US, or 8am in the UK and fans will be able to binge-watch all the episodes in one go.
How many episodes are in Man vs Baby?
The series consists of just four 30-minute episodes, equivalent to a feature film if watched consecutively. This Christmas special is considerably shorter than Man vs Bee, which comprised nine episodes in total.
The official synopsis states: “After a job looking after a high-tech mansion ended in disaster thanks to an irritating insect in Man vs Bee, Trevor Bingley has left the stressful world of housesitting for the quieter life of a school caretaker.
“That is, until a lucrative offer to look after a luxury London penthouse over Christmas proves too tempting to resist. But on the last day of term, when no one comes to collect the Baby Jesus from the school nativity, Trevor finds himself with another undersized and very unexpected companion.
“With a penthouse to protect and a baby to burp, will Trevor be able to have the calm Christmas he hopes for, or will festivities descend into chaos?”

Who is in the cast of Man vs Baby?
The confirmed cast roster for Man vs Baby features Rowan Atkinson reprising his role as Trevor Bingeley alongside Alanah Bloor as Maddy. Whilst Maddy featured in Man vs Bee, the character has been recast, with India Fowler previously portraying the role.
Atkinson is a 70 year old English performer, comic and screenwriter celebrated for his legendary characters in Blackadder, Mr Bean and Johnny English. Meanwhile, Bloor is a British performer hailing from Cornwall whose breakout performance came in the television series Sandokan.
Sunetra Sarker also features as Georgia Hakopian, alongside Ashley Jensen as Janet. Sarker is known for her roles in Brookside and Casualty, while Jensen is known for Shetland and Agatha Raisin.
Man vs Baby premieres on Netflix on December 11.
