Tracking Florida football’s coach, staff hires as Sumrall takes over

Florida football has the help-wanted sign posted outside of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium as it looks to rebuild its coaching and other support staff after newly-hired head coach Jon Sumrall took the reins of the program.
The former Tulane Green Wave skipper, who spent two years in New Orleans after a pair of seasons with the Troy Trojans, arrives in Gainesville looking to improve where his predecessor, Billy Napier, failed. Credit to the erstwhile coach, he did a solid job rebuilding the roster after it was neglected by his predecessor, Dan Mullen, but his refusal to hire an offensive coordinator may have been his undoing.
With Sumrall on board, along with NFL general manager veteran Dave Caldwell, who takes over the GM duties — for which the responsibilities are as clear as a tannic swamp lake — it is up to them and athletic director Scott Stricklin to bring in the rest of the crew for the 2026 campaign and beyond.
This list will be updated for each of Florida football’s hires until all of the positions are filled.
