Just like that, we’re into a brand new year! 2026 is here, and while the full slate for the year has yet to be fully unveiled, we’ve already got an early preview ahead of what’s set to arrive throughout the first month of the year. Below, we’ll walk you through all the new movies and series arriving throughout January, whether they’re Netflix Originals or licensed titles.
We should also note that January 2026 is going to be a hectic month for removals from Netflix, as we’re tracking here. Over 150 movies are leaving Netflix on January 1st alone, and plenty of big series are scheduled to depart throughout the month, too. So while you’re planning on what to watch from the new arrivals, don’t forget any last-minute watches of what’s set to leave too.

- Free Bert (Season 1) Netflix Original – A new scripted comedy series headlined by Bert Kreischer.
- Single’s Inferno (Season 5) Netflix Original – South Korean dating series.
What’s Coming to Netflix on January 1st
- 12 Years A Slave (2013) – The stunning Steve McQueen biopic movie based on the memoir by Solomon Northup. Set before the Civil War, the movie follows a free black man who was stolen and sold into slavery.
- Becky (2020) – Lulu Wilson and Kevin James headline this unlikely COVID horror thriller that sees a young girl’s weekend at a lake house with her father turn into a nightmare.
- Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish (Season 2) Netflix Original – More animated adventures set in the world of Dr. Seuss.
- Facing the Giants (2006) – Sports drama from Alex and Stephen Kendrick. A losing coach with an underdog football team faces their giants of fear and failure on and off the field to surprising results.
- Falling Skies (Seasons 1-5) – From executive producer Steven Spielberg, this sci-fi series sees a professor using his knowledge of military history to strike back against an alien invasion.
- Ford v. Ferrari (2019) – Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in this roaring true story about the maverick team who set out to build a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans.
- Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016) – Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon lead this spirited reboot about a quartet of paranormal investigators who unite to save New York when ghosts overrun the city.
- Lies We Tell (2017) – Gabriel Byrne and Sibylla Deen anchor this brooding British thriller where a trusted driver becomes entangled in a dangerous web of secrets after his billionaire employer dies unexpectedly.
- Love from 9 to 5 (Season 1) Netflix Original – Mexican sitcom comedy. A hardworking employee and the boss’s charming son compete for the CEO position at a major underwear company, but romance threatens to sabotage them.
- Man on Fire (2004) – Denzel Washington delivers a blistering turn as a burned-out bodyguard who unleashes righteous fury across Mexico City after the young girl he vowed to protect is kidnapped.
- Mr. Malcolm’s List (2022) – Freida Pinto and Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù charm in this Regency romance about a society bachelor with exacting standards and the woman recruited to expose his flaws, only for real feelings to complicate the ruse.
- Only the Brave (2017) – Josh Brolin, Miles Teller, and Jennifer Connelly headline this powerful true-story drama following the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite firefighting team facing unimaginable danger on the front lines.
- Pitch Perfect 2 (2015) – Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, and the Barden Bellas return in this musical comedy sequel that sends the a cappella champions to a global stage where they aim to reclaim their harmony and their pride.
- Priscilla (2023) – Cailee Spaeny leads Sofia Coppola’s intimate biographical drama that traces Priscilla Presley’s life inside Graceland, exploring the pressures, power imbalances, and private moments behind an American myth.

- Run Away (Limited Series) Netflix Original – The latest British adaptation of one of the many books from Harlan Coben.
- The Miracle Season (2018) – Helen Hunt and Erin Moriarty star in this uplifting sports drama about a high school volleyball team that must rally together after tragedy, finding strength, unity, and purpose as they fight for a championship season.
- Time Flies (Limited Series) Netflix Original – Argentinian book adaptation series about two women running a fumigation business after getting out of prison.
What’s Coming to Netflix on January 2nd
- Found (Seasons 1-2) – Crime drama series that was recently canceled by NBC. As her crisis management firm searches for missing people, Gabi demands help from a secret source: her own former kidnapper, now captive in her basement.

- Land of Sin (Season 1) Netflix Original – Swedish crime drama set over the course of 5 episodes, following the investigation of a young teenager who is found dead on the Bjäre peninsula.
- Your Turn to Kill (Season 1) – Japanese mystery drama starring Tomoyo Harada and Kei Tanaka.

- Agatha Christie’s Sevel Dials (Limited Series) Netflix Original – At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths – the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen ‘Bundle’ Brent – to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery. - Love Through a Prism (Season 1) Netflix Original – Anime series set in the early 1900s in London, and follows a Japanese student who is there to learn about art. Animated by WIT Studio and directed by Kazuto Nakazawa.

- The Rip (2026) Netflix Original – Ben Affleck and Matt Damon headline this action thriller where they play a cop duo who seize a sizable cash stash in a house, which puts them firmly in the wrong sort of spotlights from friend and foe.

- Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (2026) Netflix Original – Japanese anime feature film combining one of Japan’s oldest tales with contemporary music.
What’s Coming to Netflix on January 23rd
- The Big Fake (2026) Netflix Original – Italian thriller. An aspiring artist becomes a master forger for criminal gangs lurking in the underbelly of 1970s Rome in this drama film inspired by true events.

- Bridgerton (Season 4 – Volume 1) Netflix Original – The first batch of episodes for Netflix’s flagship period drama series.
