Jaguars’ Hunter undergoes season-ending knee surgery

The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Tuesday that wide receiver/cornerback Travis Hunter will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing season-ending knee surgery to repair his LCL, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Hunter is expected to return to full football activities within six months.
The 22-year-old landed on injured reserve Oct. 31 after sustaining a knee injury at practice. Though the injury didn’t damage his ACL, it was enough to end the two-way star’s rookie season.
Hunter was one of the most talked-about prospects in NFL draft history thanks to his unique ability to play receiver and corner. He claimed the Heisman Trophy at Colorado and joined the Jaguars as the No. 2 overall pick.
Hunter played 326 snaps on offense and 162 on defense this season.
