Orlando weather: Cooler weather returns to Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – The partly cloudy skies and the cooler temperatures will stick around through overnight. Lows tonight in Orlando will linger in the low and mid 50s, but areas higher up on the I-75 Corridor will fall into the mid 40s.
Rest of the week
Thursday: High pressure continues to take hold of our area setting up just to the north. This will allow our temperatures to get warmer on Thursday. A light breeze will still stick around tomorrow, but our highs will be back in the low and mid 70s.
Rainy weekend
The warmer air continues to move in, warming our temperatures back up into the 80s by Friday.
Friday will be mostly sunny with a few passing clouds throughout the day. This warm-up comes ahead of our next cold front that will impact the back half of the weekend. But any plans that you have on Friday look good to go! Lake Eola and Lake Mary both have tree lightings and it will be a great evening to bring in the holiday spirit.
This weekend will be a little bit of a different story. The weekend ahead will be cloudy and more muggy. Saturday areas higher up on the I-75 corridor could see some spotty showers as the clouds start to increase ahead of the cold front moving through on Sunday. Sunday will be cloudy and rainy as showers push through the area. There could be a few thunderstorms nestled in with the showers. Although it may put a damper on your weekend plans, we desperately need this rain.
This will be the start of another temperature rollercoaster with highs in the 60s next Monday and Tuesday.
