Charlton Athletic vs Portsmouth: Championship stats & head-to-head

Charlton’s Championship match with Portsmouth at The Valley was abandoned after just 12 minutes because of a medical emergency in the stands.
The players initially waited on the pitch while emergency staff dealt with the situation in the lower tier of the Covered End before referee Matthew Donohue told them to return to the dressing rooms.
The game, which was goalless, was eventually called off nearly an hour after the incident occurred.
Charlton said in a statement: “Due to a medical emergency in the crowd, today’s match has been abandoned.
“We thank you for your patience and understanding. Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to the supporter affected and thank our medical team and first responders.
“Information on when the match will be rescheduled will be announced in due course.”
Portsmouth added in a statement that “our thoughts and best wishes are with the indivudual involved and their family”.
