Foxtel Business iQ and MinRes to bring premium Foxtel at-home experience to remote workforces

FOXTEL BUSINESS IQ TO ROLL OUT ACROSS 3,000 REMOTE MINING ACCOMMODATION ROOMS TO DELIVER PREMIUM SPORT AND ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE
Foxtel Group today announced an upgraded partnership with Mineral Resources that will bring FOXTEL’s world-class Business iQ device – and the premium FOXTEL at-home experience – to Mineral Resources Limited’s 3,000 room onsite accommodation portfolio.
The expanded agreement will roll out FOXTEL’s unrivalled line-up of premium LIVE and on-demand sport and entertainment including the cricket, AFL, NRL, F1 and Supercars, as well as some of the world’s best entertainment series such as Colin From Accounts, The Day of the Jackal, All Her Fault and Mix Tape, across MinRes’ accommodation facilities. It also elevates onsite comfort, connectivity and employee wellbeing across the company’s sites while reinforcing Foxtel Group’s commitment to tailored solutions for large-scale accommodation environments.
With the ability to transmit content over hundreds of kilometres from major towns with limited local bandwidth, FOXTEL’s satellite network offers the most efficient way to deliver premium sport and entertainment, including in up to 4K Ultra HD.
Steve O’Connor, Managing Director of Foxtel Retail, Wholesale, and Commercial at Foxtel Group said: “FOXTEL is thrilled to expand our long-term partnership with MinRes and bring Business iQ to their 3000 plus mining accommodation rooms and camp leisure areas. This shared investment will keep Australia’s most remote workers connected with the best live televised sports and FOXTEL’s full news and entertainment services, and enables MinRes to utilise screens for all staff communication and training needs via our Business iQ platform and easy to use cloud-based operating system.”
FOXTEL Business iQ offers all FOXTEL channels and access to the full on-demand library, with built-in casting from personal devices and an integrated communications system that also allows employers to include custom messaging, safety content, and site information. Each room features a discreet, slimline device installed behind the television, offering HD quality and a seamless viewing experience that helps workers feel at home, supporting workforce wellbeing and engagement.
Scott Randall, Commercial Manager at MinRes, said: “Our people are at the centre of everything we do, and this partnership with Foxtel Group is one of the ways we’re reimagining what life on site can be. Foxtel Business iQ delivers the comfort, entertainment and connection of home into our villages, supporting wellbeing and helping us attract and retain the best people.”
The rollout follows other recent commercial agreements including with The Star Entertainment Group to deploy FOXTEL Business iQ across all their properties, as well as hundreds of independent and regional motels, with Business iQ the perfect fit for all accommodation categories.
Today, more than 60,000 rooms in commercial properties nationwide access sport and entertainment content through the FOXTEL Business iQ, a platform purpose-built for multi-occupancy environments that replicates the best of the Foxtel at-home experience to entertain and engage guests, residents, staff and customers.
