A Premier league star scored a wonder goal before diving into the crowd to celebrate with a disabled fan – and told him: “That was for you.” Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes was seen by millions on TV as jumped over the advertising hoarding at St James Park.
He had just put the Magpies 1-0 up in the 71st minute of their dramatic 2-2 draw against Spurs on Tuesday night. He ran to the crowd and ended up celebrating with Dylan Marshall, 21, and his mum Victoria Marshall, 44.
They had both been watching at the perimeter of the pitch close to the corner of the Gallowgate end. Bruno landed right in the lap of Dylan and told him: “That was for you.”
The youngster, who is paralysed from the neck down due to the rare genetic disorder Larsen’s Syndrome, told the Mirror : “He landed right on top of me. My mam had to get hold of my chair as he landed on the controls. He just said: ‘That was for you’.
‘Then he was surrounded by all the players celebrating too. He did some damage to the advertising hoardings.”

Dylan uses his mouth to take the controls of his computer games. A Toon fanatic, he has been a regular at the home matches since 2017.
His favourite player is former England star Kieran Trippier after enjoying FIFA PlayStation football matches with him.
Teaching assistant Victoria, who lives with Dylan in Lynemouth, Northumberland, joked: “I was a bit worried what was going to happen to Dylan’s chair when Bruno was on top of the controls. I cannot believe that it was seen by all those people on telly.”
Many of the Newcastle Utd security guards came to have a chat with Victoria at the final whistle after seeing Dylan celebrate with the Brazilian star.
She showed them the damage to the advertising hoarding where Bruno leapt over to celebrate his goal. And she loved the photo of the goal celebration when the Mirror shared it with her.

She added: “I cannot believe it. The photos are so funny. Dylan loves football and he has been asked to manage a team in Tynemouth. So we will never live this down.”
Karen Brown, 45, of Morpeth in Northumberland was also seen on the TV footage in her wheelchair as she was right next to Dylan when Bruno came into the crowd.
She said: “It was a spontaneous thing to celebrate the goal and Bruno ended up on the knee of Dylan who was right next to me. It all happened so fast. It was such a great goal, I think that he was so excited that he jumped in to be with us.”
In 2014, Dylan completed the 4k Great North Junior run in his wheelchair with mum Victoria but vowed to stand up and cross the finishing line as he raised money for the Sick Children’s Trust.
He had more than seven months of intensive physio and orthopaedic therapy, followed by continuing rehabilitation at Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary.

He also fulfilled his dream of becoming a Magpies mascot for their game that year against Manchester City.
At 14-months-old Dylan underwent pioneering surgery at Newcastle General Hospital, in which four of his neck bones were removed and replaced with one of his lower left ribs.
A second operation then attempted to fuse the rib to the rest of his spine, with the tot forced to wear a traction “halo” to ensure he couldn’t move his head for months on end.
Larsen syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects the development of bones throughout the body.
Affected individuals are usually born with inward and upward turning feet and dislocations of the hips, knees and elbows and flexible joints.
Some people with the condition experience respiratory problems as a reuslt of weakness of the airways, that can lead to partial closing and short pauses in breath.
The condition affects around one in 100,000 newborns.
