Wisconsin basketball continues its 2025-26 nonconference schedule with its annual rivalry matchup against Marquette on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers enter the contest with momentum after a decisive home win over Northwestern on Wednesday. The team improved to 6-2 on the season with the triumph, which was its first in three tries against Power Four opponents to begin the year.
Marquette, on the other hand, has been far from impressive to start the campaign. The team is just 5-4 through nine games, with losses to Indiana, Maryland, Dayton and Oklahoma. Its less-than-convincing play has it down at No. 87 in KenPom, compared to Wisconsin’s standing at No. 27.
ESPN’s Basketball Power Index reflects that disparity; it gives the Badgers an 82.1% chance at escaping Saturday with a victory.
