The competition is ramping up on Strictly Come Dancing as the remaining contestants try to earn their spot in the upcoming finale.
Last weekend on the BBC show, viewers saw Alex Kingston leave the competition after landing in the dance-off against Balvinder Sopal, whom the judges opted to save.
On Saturday, Alex found herself at the bottom of the leaderboard with a total score of 23. However, her overall score for the night was 26 after she gained an extra three points for the instant dance challenge.
For the first time in Strictly history, BBC fans watched a new challenge unfold as each couple chose a dance style at random out of the previous ones they had learnt from their time on the show.
Once their dance was chosen, they learnt the song they’d be performing to before being given only 10 seconds to decide how they would dance.

Although many couples managed to get through the challenge, Strictly’s official Instagram has released some of the things the stars and pros said to one another during their frantic dance with their hidden mic video.
One included West End star Amber Davies, who was dancing the Samba to Whenever, Wherever by Shakira, issuing a demand to her pro partner Nikita Kuzmin.
In the clip, she could be seen pointing to the floor as she yells: “Get on your knees!”
Amber commented her hilarious quip to Nikita in the comments, with many quick to respond as one person replied: “QUEEN behaviour & we are HERE FOR IT.”

Someone else commented: “Nikita – ma’am, yes ma’am!” While another person wrote: “Every pro frantically telling their celeb what to do, then there’s Amber to Nikita GET ON YOUR KNEES.”
One person shared: “Best moment, she is fantastic.” As another said: “I cackled- sooo funny. Living her best life.”
Amber was awarded an extra four points for her Instant Dance, which was added to her total from their regular routine, meaning she topped the leaderboard with an overall total of 44. Following close behind is Lewis Cope, who has a total of 42.
This Saturday night, the remaining contestants will tackle Musicals Week for the quarter final as they try to earn their place in the semi-finals next week.
