ITV viewers have slammed the I’m A Celeb campmates for their ‘ungrateful’ treatment of Martin Kemp just hours before his exit.
In Thursday’s (December 4) episode, the pop legend took on a Bushtucker Trial alongside co-star Tom Read Wilson. The duo were taken to a makeshift library in the jungle, where Tom was tasked with finding a series of books based on Martin’s clues.
As with all I’m A Celeb challenges, this task was complete with various creepy critters being dropped on Martin, while other jungle animals hid in the bookshelves.
The unlikely duo went on to win a whopping five out of seven stars in the game, earning five meals for the whole camp. However, when they broke the news to the rest of the group, their co-stars didn’t seem especially impressed.

Rapper Aitch told the Bush Telegraph that he “expected more from Tom,” while the other campmates pointed out that they’ve still “got loads of rice”.
The comments left EastEnders alum Martin clearly disheartened. He later confided in the Bush Telegraph, saying: “It was a [more] mixed reaction than I thought.
“They had smiles on their faces, but when I heard the words ‘Well we’ve always got rice’ I thought ‘ugh’. That kind of, it summed it up a little bit.”
Viewers at home were quick to defend Martin and Tom’s efforts, with many branding the camp as ungrateful for suggesting that five stars wasn’t a huge win.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one penned: “Aww poor Martin – didn’t like that reaction! 5/7 is basically 8.5/12 – simmer down with your “we’ve always got rice” passive aggressiveness. #ImACeleb.”
Someone else said: “Aw saying at least they got rice, making Martin not feel 100% how is 5/7 not good madness #imaceleb.”
While a third added: “Martin finally doing a trial and they treat [him] like a c*** #imaceleb,” and a fourth chimed in with: “They do realise there’s only 7 of them right? They don’t seem too impressed by Martin and Tom getting 5 out 7 it’s the same as getting 10 out of 12. #ImACeleb.”
Yet another viewer else agreed: “Well done Martin and Tom. Take no notice of those whingers. Trials have been too easy this year. That’s why they’ve done well. #imaceleb.”
And a final viewer slammed: “5/7 is good you ungrateful lot #imaceleb.”
