Former UFC title challenger Marvin Vettori takes on Brunno Ferreira in the final bout of the Early Prelims at UFC 323. Check out my best bet for Marvin Vettori vs. Brunno Ferreira at UFC 323.
From 2019 to April 2021, Marvin Vettori won five consecutive fights, earning himself a title opportunity. But since Vettori lost to Israel Adesanya at UFC 263 in June 2021, he has gone 2-4 in his previous four contests. Although Vettori hasn’t won a fight in over two years, he has faced the top competition at 185 pounds. Vettori’s last four losses came against Robert Whittaker, Jared Cannonier, Roman Dolidze, and Brendan Allen.
On DraftKings Sportsbook, Vettori is the favorite at -120 with Ferreira being a +100 underdog. Ferreira is a talented fighter, but is the first fighter that Vettori has faced who isn’t ranked in quite some time. Vettori has a two-inch advantage in this bout in height (6’0″ vs. 5’10”) and standing reach (74″ vs. 72″).
In this contest, Vettori is the better all-around fighter, and this is an excellent matchup for the former title challenger to get back on track. Vettori averages more significant strikes and takedowns than Ferreira does. During his losing streak, Vettori has been passive and must be more aggressive to secure a victory in this bout. Ferreira isn’t on the same level as Vettori’s past opponents and doesn’t pose problems that “The Italian Dream” hasn’t faced before.
