Katy Perry, Justin Trudeau make fireworks official with Japan trip photos

The fireworks between Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are now Instagram official, following months of speculation and steamy sightings.
The 41-year-old pop star, who recently ended her engagement to Orlando Bloom, shared a selfie on Saturday with the former Canadian prime minister, showing them cuddled up beneath the fall foliage in Japan.
“Tokyo times on tour and more,” wrote Perry, who performed just outside the country’s capital on Wednesday as part of the Asian leg of her Lifetimes Tour.
The post also featured a dozen other photos and videos, including a black-and-white clip of the couple dining on sushi as Trudeau, 53, keeps an arm around the “Fireworks” singer. They are later shown enjoying a breakfast of Japanese souffle pancakes and immersing themselves in an intergalactic art exhibit at teamLab.
The hard launch came just two days after former Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida shared a photo of himself and his wife having lunch with Trudeau and “his partner Katy Perry”.
It also came just three months after sources told Us Weekly that the duo had not got serious, largely because of Perry’s “extremely busy” schedule. In late October, an insider said Perry was “really into” the new romance, but was “trying to keep it low-key”.
