Former champ O’Malley (18-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) looks to bounce back from a pair of title fight losses to Merab Dvalishvili. O’Malley dropped the bantamweight crown in their first meeting at UFC 306, and failed to recapture it in a rematch at UFC 316. “Sugar” last won in a rematch against Marlon Vera at UFC 299, which was his only successful title defense.
Song (22-8-1 MMA, 11-3-1 UFC) has been knocking on the door of title contention for a few years. In his last outing, he returned to the win column with a technical decision over former two-division champion Henry Cejudo. In the fight prior, former champion Petr Yan took a decision nod, which halted the momentum of back-to-back wins over Ricky Simon and Chris Gutierrez.
