Police have arrested a teenager and are searching for another alleged offender after a man died in Melbourne’s inner north on Sunday afternoon.
Authorities were called to the intersection of Maribyrnong and Union roads in Ascot Vale about 3.45pm after reports of a man with stab wounds.
The man was treated at the scene and transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died.
The man has yet to be formally identified.
Police believe two alleged offenders fled the scene. They arrested an 18-year-old man on Ascot Street about 4pm and continue to search for the second person.
