Major update after shopping centre stabbing

A man has been charged over a shocking stabbing inside a popular shopping centre, in a brazen daylight altercation.
Emergency services were called to Bankstown Central on Saturday 2.30pm after a man was stabbed.
The 55-year-old-man was found with a stab wound to his torso.
A short time later, a 27-year-old man was arrested nearby and taken to Bankstown Police Station.
He was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and custody of knife in public place.
The 27-year-old was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
The 55-year-old was treated by paramedics before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
His injuries are not considered life threatening.
