F1 WAGs at ‘phwoar’ as Norris, Verstappen and Piastri fight for championship in Abu Dhabi

The F1 Championship will go down to the final lap of the season as Lando Norris, Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri fight for the title in Abu Dhabi, with their stunning partners cheering them on

The three-way championship battle heads to the final race of the season in Abu Dhabi

The F1 World Championship has come down to the final weekend, and three drivers are still firmly in the mix to win the title.

Lando Norris leads the way ahead of Max Verstappen and McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri, as the two challengers look to overturn a 12 and 16 point gap respectively in Abu Dhabi.

The McLaren duo have been at the top of the standings throughout the season and the Papaya team looked certain to be adding the drivers’ title to their second successive Constructors’ Championship. But calamity in Las Vegas saw both cars disqualified due to excessive plank wear, bringing four-time champion Verstappen back into the picture.

Ahead of the most exciting finale to an F1 season since Lewis Hamilton and Verstappen’s title decider in 2021, the Daily Star Sport looks at the three partners who will be supporting and motivating their stars for one final push this year.

The drivers’ championship leader has been linked with Portuguese actress and model Margarida Corceiro for some time, although the pair have only recently become romantically involved. Corceiro is a well-known figure in her own right with 2.2million followers on Instagram, where she is a regular poster. Her feed combines sleek fashion images and sultry bikini photos.

The couple first started dating in 2023 after they were snapped in Monaco together. They briefly split up last year before rekindling their romance.

Corceiro, who previously dated former Chelsea forward Joao Felix, has been at numerous race weekends to support her partner and has been one of the favourites of the TV crews, who cut to WAGs in the garage during races, to the annoyance of fans.

But Corceiro has no problem being the centre of attention, telling Jornal de Noticias: “I don’t feel any pressure from being a public figure. I’m there to support someone. I have nothing to do with that.

“I don’t know anything about cars. I’m good for nothing other than supporting someone. I don’t call the cameras. I have nothing to do with that, it’s not my job or my area. If they record me, they record me. If they don’t record me, it doesn’t matter.

“Obviously, there are many cameras everywhere, but sometimes I don’t realise if I’m being recorded or not.”

Norris recently opened up about his relationship with the Portuguese actress and model, saying: “We met a few years ago, but we were never really together until more recently.

“She’s someone I can very much be myself with. Very down to earth and she lives quite a crazy life as well. It’s nice when we can both just [rent] a boat for the day or go home together and chill.”

Kelly Piquet – Max Verstappen

Max Verstappen’s girlfriend Kelly Piquet is the daughter of F1 legend Nelson. Like Max, whose dad Jos raced in on the grid himself, Kelly’s upbringing centred around the sport and that love has brought them together and seen Verstappen cement himself as one of F1’s greatest.

Kelly, 36, is nine years Verstappen’s junior and is a regular on the F1 circuit, and was by Verstappen’s side throughout his maiden title-winning season in 2021.

In a chat with Servus TV during the season, Verstappen revealed that he has calmed down during his relationship with Kelly.

He said: “From [the age of] 17 to 23, things change. This is completely normal. Before I used to yell. Now, on the other hand, I am more relaxed.”

Max and Kelly welcomed their first child together, Lily, in April 2025, Kelly’s second child after having daughter Penelope with ex-F1 racer partner Daniil Kvyat. They split in 2019, a year before she got with Verstappen.

The Red Bull star has forged a close relationship with Penelope and said that the arrival of Lily would not slow him down. “I have done it already, so it is not like it is completely new for me,” Verstappen said in April.

“Now it is my DNA, let’s say it like that, but I think it is absolutely fine and I know the baby will be in good hands anyway. So for me, you focus on your racing and then go back to your family.”

Lily Zneimer – Oscar Piastri

Piastri has always been supported by his partner Lily Zneimer after they first met at boarding school, with the driver moving from Melbourne to the UK at the age of 14. Piastri studied at Haileybury College in both Hertford and Australia as he took Formula 4 and Formula 3 by storm.

During their second-to-last year in college, Lily and Piastri began dating. Speaking on the Party Mode podcast in 2023, the McLaren star opened up about his quite private relationship with the Brit.

“We’ve been together ever since [college],” he said. “So it’s been nice to have someone there from the start that’s still with me. She’s come to quite a few races this year, which has been nice.

Lily has been by Piastri’s side throughout his journey to F1

“We keep it private, [but] not secretive like some relationships are. We keep it to ourselves and try to be out of the spotlight and just live normal lives.”

Speaking to The Athletic, Piastri admits that he prefers keeping a low profile with his partner and doing simple things such as playing video games and cooking at home.

“In some ways chilling and cooking makes you feel more normal because when we’re at the races, we have the catering team here, or we always go out to restaurants, and sometimes it’s just nice to have a normal meal that you’ve cooked yourself,” he admitted.
