The Palestinian Fedayeen defeated Qatar 1-0 in the opening match and snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw from Tunisia to top Group A with four points, alongside Syria, which defeated Tunisia 1-0 and drew 1-1 with Qatar.
‘We are ready to face Syria, and our goal is clear: to qualify for the next round,’ Abu Jazar said during the press conference. He added that the team is aware of its opponent’s strength, explaining that Syria has players with high individual and collective abilities and is good at playing on transitions, which makes the match tactically complex.
He pointed out that there is a clear similarity in style between the two teams, which increases the difficulty of the match, before confirming that the team has overcome fatigue after the previous two matches against Qatar and Tunisia, and that all players are fully ready without any absences.
For his part, national team player Ahmed Taha stressed the importance of the match, saying that the focus is entirely on facing Syria, which he described as ‘strong and important.’ He explained that the team is seeking to deliver the same performance it showed in the matches against Qatar and Tunisia, and to achieve a result that matches its ambitions and ensures its passage to the next stage.
