Verstappen Wins Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with McLaren’s Piastri and Norris on Podium

The Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix concluded with a commanding performance from Max Verstappen, who drove for Red Bull Racing. Verstappen claimed the victory after completing the race in a time of 1 hour, 26 minutes, and 7.469 seconds, showcasing his dominance throughout the event.

Oscar Piastri from McLaren secured a strong second-place finish, crossing the line just 12.594 seconds behind Verstappen. His teammate, Lando Norris, followed closely to take third, finishing 16.572 seconds off the leader. This marks a notable achievement for McLaren, with both drivers stepping onto the podium.

Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished in fourth place, turning in a competitive race but ultimately falling behind the frontrunners by 23.279 seconds. Esteban Ocon from Haas ended in seventh place, finishing just under a minute and ten seconds behind Verstappen, while Lewis Hamilton, also representing Ferrari, came in eighth, with a gap of 1 minute and 12.670 seconds. The race saw Nico Hulkenberg from Stake and Lance Stroll from Aston Martin take the remaining points-scoring positions, finishing ninth and tenth respectively.

Notable mentions include drivers such as Gabriel Bortoleto and Oliver Bearman, both finishing in the 11th and 12th positions. Carlos Sainz and Yuki Tsunoda ended in 13th and 14th places, while the Williams duo of Alex Albon and Antonelli rounded out the top 16 positions.

The race also featured some difficulties for several drivers, as Hadjar, Lawson, Pierre Gasly, and Colapinto all finished a lap down, culminating the field in 17th through 20th places.

Leclerc also achieved the fastest lap of the race on lap 45, clocking in at 1:26.725, though it did not affect his overall position.
